We often hear that learning fly fishing is very complicated, and that this discourages many from even trying. We think that's nonsense! Fly fishing is really not a mystery, and with an experienced fly fishing instructor by your side, you'll usually understand the most important basics after just one day. With the help of clear course materials, simple practice exercises, and many years of teaching experience, we'll quickly prepare you for life as a future fly fisher in our fly fishing course! The hardest part of fly fishing is learning the casting technique. That's why we naturally practice casting with the fly rod extensively in our courses! The location and date of our private fly fishing courses are always arranged individually with you. The course duration is at least 6 hours, but can be extended if both parties (guest & guide) are interested. All rental equipment etc. will be provided by your guide. By arrangement, our guides can also conduct the course at your home. Please note that the casting exercises in our private courses usually take place in a meadow, as for most fly fishing beginners it's not about immediately catching a huge fish. The course duration is at least 6 hours. All rental equipment etc. will be provided by your guide.

About me: The FLYRUS fly fishing school was founded in Berlin in 2013 by two young students (Ole and Simon). Over the next few years, the fly fishing school continued to grow - and more and more full-blooded fly fishermen from all over the country joined the FLYRUS network, so that FLYRUS soon became the first fly fishing school E was, which offered Germany-wide fly fishing courses and fly fishing guiding. And even though Ole and Simon are no longer quite as youthful, they have managed to build FLYRUS into the largest fly fishing school in Germany. There are now over 50 experienced fly fishing instructors from all over Germany guiding for FLYRUS (with expertise in a wide variety of subject areas - and for a wide variety of fish species).
